Linda C. Compton, President and CEO of the Indiana Broadcasters Association, is responsible for the overall administration and management of the association. Areas of responsibility include planning and evaluation, policy development and administration, fiscal management, public and legislative relations. Linda is the key contact for all of the NCSA contracts and sales. Linda works with the IBA Board of Directors in facilitating the goals and objectives consistent with the mission and vision of the association.

Gwen C. Piening, Executive Vice President of the Indiana Broadcasters Association is responsible for the overall administration and management of specific programs of the association. Gwen works with the Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP), the Amber Alert, Broadcast Compliance Services (BCS), the IBA Scholarship program, newsletter, meetings and other programs as they arise.

Courtney W. Young, Program Manager, is responsible for the overall administration of the NCSA programs for the IBA. In addition to those duties Courtney handles all things related to EEO on behalf of the member stations, including all of the job fairs scheduled throughout the year. As part of the executive staff team Courtney attends all board meetings, assists with all of the IBA events; and handles most of the creative efforts.

Glenna Shelby, Vice President, SDS Group, serves as the IBA lobbyist in the Indiana General Assembly. Glenna is an attorney with more than 25 years experience related to state government spanning 16 years in three state agencies and nine years as the State’s Deputy Revenue Commissioner. Glenna has served the IBA in this capacity for many years watching legislation related directly to broadcasters, journalists, broadly in the telecommunications area, business issues and helped to successfully pass legislation for broadcasters.

Dan Byron, Attorney, Bingham McHale, LLP, a graduate of Indiana School of Law, has experience in the areas of media law, intellectual property and complex business litigation. Dan was listed in “Best Lawyers in America” for 2006-2007 and voted one of the top 5% of all lawyers in Indiana by peer selection in Indiana Super Lawyers, 2006, Indianapolis Monthly Magazine. He was the inaugural winner of the 2004 Indiana State Bar Association’s Civility/Professionalism Award for outstanding integrity and civility in working with judges, attorneys, parties, witnesses and the public.
