News Director

Job Description

Manage all aspects of the News Department.
Plans on attending city, school board and any other meetings, not waiting on press releases.
Makes the effort to get out and know the mayors, chief of police, local officials, school board members. Becomes the news director people call first with a story.
Develops news coverage strategies for the stations and websites.

Required Skills

Must be organized, have people, writing and communication skills.
Making sure stories are updated first thing in the morning and throughout the day.
Positive attitude, team player, strides for excellence.

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
