News Intern

General Job Description:

Weigel Broadcasting and ABC 57 are pleased to offer college students interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting and journalism the opportunity to apply for our internship program. Located in South Bend, we offer a variety of internship programs within news broadcasting. Work side-by-side with professionals in our news, weather, and creative services departments. Interns will receive an hourly rate of pay.

Required Skills

Requirements:

Internships require a commitment of 20 hours per week.

Summer Internship Length: late May/early June Start Date

Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or something similar.

Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills.

Creativity is a must.

Will be required to accompany news crews on shoots, help with day-to-day work in the newsroom, work longer hours than scheduled.

Education Required

Must currently be enrolled in college.
