News Producer

Job Description

WEHT, in Henderson, KY, has an immediate opening for a News Producer
Descriptions & Responsibilities:
1 Co-produce weekend newscasts and work as an Associate and fill in Producer during the week.
2 Must be a strong writer who understands the difference between stacking and producing a newscast.
3 Edits video and writes stories for the website and other e-Media platforms. Interacts with users on social media sites.
4 Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks.

Work experience & education required:
1 Must have previous experience as a News Producer.
2 Experience with Avid News and I-News is a must.
3 Fluency in English.

Required Skills

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
