Social media is all about likes, shares, and comments, right? That’s fine if you’re Facebook or Twitter. But what if you’re a local media company more concerned with tune-in and listening/viewing occasions, and brand-building, and listener/viewer loyalty?
The Indiana Broadcasters Association is hosting media strategist, researcher, and trend-maker Mark Ramsey for a special session on the key ways to use social media for YOUR purposes, not Facebook’s and Twitter’s on Wednesday, October 23rd.
Broadcasters 40 years of age and under are invited to join veteran broadcasters and general managers to sit in on the presentation which shares five key elements that can help you audit your own brand’s social media efforts and maximize your effectiveness in targeting the one metric which counts most: Ratings.
Included will be a worksheet that you can use for your social media team back home.
If you’re a young professional in a media brand you already have your head around social media, but some of these strategies will surprise you. And if you’re a General Manager responsible for hiring a social media team and evaluating its performance, the lessons from this presentation will prove invaluable to you.
Mark’s presentation is part of the Indiana Broadcasters Conference Young Professionals dinner – a new initiative by the IBA.
Make new connections and share ideas on how to move the TV and Radio industry forward the evening before the annual Conference starting at 7 p.m. EDT at the 502 East Event Centre in Carmel.
The event is free.
Attire is business casual.
